I have the first part of a new box on my desk, yay!! I was able to finish the last one before we left for our holiday....just. I was working on it all day Thursday while little man was in pre-school, again in the evening after he was in bed till 9.30ish (I still had to pack, hubby had done most of it for me). I even got up extra early (4am) to feed the puppy in what turned out to be a failed attempt at stopping his car sickness (definitely didn't) and decided to just get it finished because I knew it was so close to being done and after an hour was back in bed for an hour or so till we had to get up to leave!
It was definitely worth getting up super early tho as it meant I could relax and enjoy our holiday without thinking about it! I can't show you the whole box just yet but here's a photo of the finished working lock for the door and the door which wasn't quite finished being sewn together at that point. Sorry for the bad lighting, I'm still thinking about how I'm going to get amazing photos of this one for the book, this box is for wedding cards but unfortunately I don't know anyone who is getting married before August to ask if I can take photos in the reception venue before hand so might have to see if there's a wedding fair somewhere....
I hope you enjoyed reading my blog and I hope you will be back next week to see the progress I will have made on the final box. Hopefully I can get loads done tomorrow even with hubby working from home, he doesn't like listening to music while he works, I can't work in silence (a definite advantage of working from home) so I'll definitely be making use of the wireless headphones on my desk! You can also find me on Facebook and Instagram where I try and post as often as I can so you will find more on there if you can't wait till next Woyww!
Thanks for Visiting!

That box looks intriguing... and yes, getting up early to get things done and ´out of your head´ is a lovely thing to do, glad you had a relaxed and nice holiday! Happy woyww and a big hug from the Netherlands, Marit #23
ReplyDeleteI love the look of these panels and pieces to you boxes and so excited to see the end product. I'm sure you will figure out the perfect way to photograph it when finished. I am an early riser and feel the morning is the best part of the day.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing WOYWW.

So glad you got those jobs finished before you set off on holiday - a clear mind is what is needed - I work that way too. Saying that I suffer from lack of sleep these days, seem to need my eight hours a day.
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be amazing - what we have seen to now has been!
Hugs, Neet 12 xx
